In terms of inground pool construction, three types of materials are commonly used and these are concrete, fiberglass, and vinyl. Concrete is popular among homeowners because you can customize your pool to any shape and design.

On the other hand, gunite is more of a dry mix wherein the water mixes with the fine particles at the nozzle of the hose. This is also sprayed at a high velocity which is similar to the shotcrete technique.
